One SIM, every network.

Every Salind tracker leaves the factory with a pre-installed multi-IMSI M2M SIM. Instead of locking the device to a single carrier, it carries credentials for hundreds of partner networks worldwide and connects to whichever signal is strongest in your location.

Pre-activated & ready. The SIM is installed and provisioned before the device ships. You just activate a FINDER Portal subscription.
Automatic carrier switching. Cross a border and the tracker re-registers on a local 4G partner network — usually within seconds, no input from you.
No roaming charges. Data costs are bundled into your FINDER Portal subscription — what you pay is what you pay, in every country.
2G fallback for remote areas. If 4G LTE isn't available, the tracker drops to 2G so you still get position pings.

Common coverage questions.

Do I need to swap the SIM if I cross a border?

No. The Salind M2M SIM is multi-network — it automatically registers on a local 4G partner network in each country. You'll see the carrier change in your FINDER Portal device details, but you don't have to do anything.

Are there any roaming or data fees?

No. Data is bundled into your FINDER Portal subscription. Whatever plan you pick at start.finder-portal.com is what you pay — there are no per-MB or per-country surcharges.

What happens in areas with no 4G coverage?

The tracker falls back to 2G GSM, which still gives you position pings (just at a slower update rate). When 4G becomes available again, it switches back automatically.

Will my tracker work in tunnels, parking garages, or basements?

GPS needs sky visibility to compute a fix, so deep underground or fully shielded environments will pause position updates. The tracker stores the last known location and resumes the moment it sees the sky again.

Which carrier am I actually connected to?

You can see the active carrier inside the FINDER Portal under the device's Connectivity panel. In Europe that's typically Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Telefónica, or a national equivalent; in the US it's typically T-Mobile or AT&T.

My country isn't on the list — can I still use a Salind tracker?

Probably yes — the list above is a sample. Coverage extends to 100+ countries; if yours isn't shown, contact our team with your country and we'll confirm before you order.
