You'll know immediately. The moment the Salind 20 leaves its mount, a removal alert fires to your phone in real time, while you can still act. Most trackers simply go silent when they're found; this one tells you it's happening.

What alarms does it have?

A vibration alarm when the vehicle is touched or moved, a speed alarm when it goes faster than a limit you set, a geofence alarm when it leaves an area you draw on the map, a removal alarm if the tracker is pulled off its mount, and a low-battery alarm so it never runs out unnoticed. Alerts arrive as push notifications on your phone.

How big and heavy is it?

It's 120 × 64 × 48 mm and weighs 450 g; the 20,000 mAh battery accounts for most of that. The strong neodymium magnet and the included magnet plate hold it securely, and it recharges over USB-C.

Is it waterproof?

Yes, against rain, road spray, mud and winter grime (IP65 splash protection). It also keeps working from −20 °C to +75 °C, so winter is no problem. Only submersion is not covered: under the vehicle is fine, underwater is not.

No. Every Salind 20 ships with a pre-installed M2M SIM and runs on 4G LTE. You activate the device and pick a subscription at start.finder-portal.com.

How accurate is the location?

Under open sky the position is accurate to about 10 meters, which is street-level: enough to point police at the right spot. You'll see a precise pin on the map, not the exact wheel; that's how all consumer GPS works. In tunnels, underground garages or dense city centers the signal weakens and the position falls back to the nearest 4G cell tower.

Is the tracking really live?

Yes. Open the app and you see where your vehicle is now, not where it was an hour ago. The tracker reports live over the 4G network while your vehicle is moving. And if someone touches it, the vibration alarm can ping your phone that same moment, so you don't have to keep checking the app.
